New report: Pre-study of the mining sector in Zambia for Geological Survey of Sweden
The Meeting Points Mining (MPM) project is currently underway in some countries in southern Africa. Experiences from the project can likely be applied in other mining countries as well. Thus, Zambia has been selected as a pilot country to explore the opportunities of expanding the concept to other countries.
Within the framework of the Meeting Points Mining project, the Swedish Trade Council (STC) has carried out a pre-study on the mining and mineral sector in Zambia. The objective is to facilitate cooperation between Sweden and Zambia in this sector.
STC has addressed the following key issues:
- What are the key market characteristics, trends, size and potential growth?
- Who are the main market players?
- What are the regulatory framework and legislations?
- What are the main challenges, business opportunities and potential areas for cooperation between Sweden and Zambia?
