Meeting Points Mining is making a short trip to Zambia in order to expand our network and find ways to implement the MeetingPoints Mining concept using previous experience from our work in Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. Our objective is to set up several more education projects in Zambia during this year in which we hope to involve participants from Swedish industry.

During our visit we will meet with, amongst others, the Federation of Small Scale Miners and the Association of Zambian Women in Mining (AZWIM) in order to formulate future co-operations. Furthermore we have a scheduled meeting with the Embassy of Sweden to present results from the week’s meetings and discuss further collaborations in Zambia.

Finally, we will be involved in the education of employees from the Geological Survey Department of Zambia in Geophysics through a project led by the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK).
