Botswana
Sweden and Botswana have had large-scale development cooperation since Botswana’s independence in 1966. The main purpose of the cooperation has been to reduce poverty and increase Botswana’s economic independence.
Traditional development aid from Sida was phased out at the end of the 1990s. We now work within the frameworks for partner driven cooperation. Read more here.
Botswana was one of the two countries studied in the REPORT Market study RMG 20110630 about the mineral market, by the Raw Materials Group. (June, 2011).
